Bar & Bat Mitzvah service and/or ceremony:
Cantor Redfern can arrange and chant a beautiful Bar or Bat Mitzvah service in the traditional style either on Shabbat or on Rosh Chodesh or Mondays or Thursdays when the Torah is read. He will sit down and plan all of the honors due to the Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah’s family.
Cantor Redfern can also advise the family on appropriate Jewish music for the musical group entertaining during the reception. Cantor Redfern can also sing with the musical group. For a more intimate setting in a residence or at a restaurant, Cantor Redfern can sing and accompany himself on the guitar.
Weddings
Cantor Redfern can chant under the Chupah the Shevah B’rachot (Seven Blessings) and while officiating he can also deliver personal words of Torah and blessings to the happy couple. Cantor Redfern can also advise the family on appropriate Jewish music for the processional and recessional and for the musical group entertaining during the reception. Cantor Redfern will plan and meet with the wedding parties well in advance of the date to discuss the traditional practices for the Jewish wedding.
